August Friedrich Beelitz was Lindsay Stanley’s great grandfather who sold his wine to miners in the Barossa Goldfields in the 1880’s. He also toasted the horse’s birthday and spring on the first day of every August. This honest, authentic Shiraz is dedicated to him and is the hallmark of the Barossa. For this wine fruit is selected from maturvines, and after fermentation, the wine spends 15 months in American and French oak before release. Intense with berry and licorice aromas, this Barossa Shiraz is rich and flavorsome. It is a perfect partner to beef and will age well for up to 10 years.
